I’ve stood on the shore of Double Oak Lake at Oak Mountain State Park as the sun slipped low in the sky, the water perfectly still — pulling at me, almost pleading — inviting me to venture across its surface and feel its cool relief on a hot, steamy August evening.

I’ve stood there again in the early morning, as first light kissed the water and a faint fog lifted gently from the lake. Quiet. Calm. Inviting.

What an amazing place to swim, I would think — even as other responsibilities kept me from sliding down through the pines and into the water.

Over the years, I’ve watched athletes train there. I’ve watched athletes compete there. And every time, I’ve admired the setting as much as the effort — a place that doesn’t shout for attention, but rewards anyone willing to step in.

So when I read that Magic Sports would be hosting a swim event there — Magic at the Mountain — the name felt inevitable. That water already carries a sense of magic. Of mystery. Of peace.

And it felt like the right moment to add something new to our Swim Team collection — not tied to a race, not bound to a date — but rooted in the place itself.

The Double Oak Lake Collection is a quiet tribute to a body of water that invites you in. Three designs. Three expressions. A classic swim team look, a simple statement, and one with a subtle nod to a classic ’80s movie — capturing a little magic and mystery of its own.
