Leave Me Alone… I’m Tapering

Leave Me Alone… I’m Tapering

Some shirts don’t start as ideas.
They start as conversations.

A friend of mine, Debra, mentioned a shirt she used to have years ago:

“Leave me alone… I’m tapering.”

If you’ve ever been in that final stretch before a race, you immediately get it.

The work is done.
The miles are in.
And now… everything feels a little off.

Your legs don’t know what’s happening.
Your brain starts asking questions it never asked during training.
And suddenly, everyone around you wants your time.

Taper week is strange like that.

You’re not training hard anymore,
but you’re more locked in than ever.

So we brought the shirt back.

Not as a throwback.
Just as something honest.

Because sometimes the best way to say it is simple:

Leave me alone.
I’m tapering.
