Peace, Love, and the Endurance to Keep Going
Share
Some designs come together quickly.
This one did not.
The idea sounded simple at first: peace • love • triathlon.
A peace sign is easy. A heart is easy. But triathlon? That was the hard part.
Because triathlon is not one simple thing.
It is the swim, the bike, and the run. But it is also everything around them. The early mornings. The nervous energy before an open-water start. The long rides when the wind will not let up. The run off the bike when your legs are trying to remember what they are supposed to do. The discipline to train when motivation is gone. The patience to come back when fitness feels far away.
There are plenty of icons for swimming, biking, and running. But none of them felt right beside a peace sign and a heart. They were too literal. Too busy. Too much like race merch.
And this shirt needed to feel different.
It needed to feel feminine, modern, minimal, and wearable. Something that could belong at a race weekend, but also at coffee after training or on a normal day when triathlon is still part of who you are.
That is where the Qavah Q became the answer.
Qavah means endurance.
It carries the idea of strength, hope, patience, and waiting with purpose. Not just pushing harder. Not just grinding. But continuing with something deeper underneath you.
That feels true to triathlon.
Because at every level — first sprint, first open-water swim, first 70.3, first comeback, first time believing you might actually be able to do this — triathlon takes qavah.
It takes strength.
It takes hope.
It takes patience.
It takes the willingness to keep going.
So the third symbol in this design is not a swimmer, a bike, or a runner.
It is the Qavah mark.
A quiet symbol of motion and endurance.
The shirt still says what it needs to say:
peace • love • triathlon
But the story behind it is a little deeper:
peace, love, and the endurance to keep going.
Endurance, Always.
